From workaholic to world traveler

Florence is obviously beautiful/significant and was the site of the Renaissance…Blah, Blah…I figured that I had to say that.

In reality, everything reminded me of that Dan Brown book that was set in Florence- I think that it was Inferno. The tour guide kept gushing over some Medici family of bankers that paid a bunch of guys named after the Ninja Turtles (Chicken<>Egg) to sculpt a bunch of naked dudes in various poses. They also seem to be jazzed about Dante’s book about the layers of hell.

My Florence highlights included (1) a karaoke bar with the group. I probably drank too much, but at least I got the chance to pee on a historical street; and (2) the following day, to clear my hangover, I had a ‘Bloody Mary Experience’ at the gorgeous St. Regis in Florence.

All in, had a really nice time in Florence. Off to Rome!!
